Knights of the Old Republic

arwingyoshiWell, now I can say that I've played both Knights of the Old Republic games.
I can see why people love these games, they're really fun, especially since I'm an RPG fan. It's not like traditional RPGs, but it certainly has all the elements, such as selecting moves during battle, upgrading weapons, and equiping armor and shields. It's exactly how a Star Wars RPG should play like.
Like almost all good RPGs, you have your batch of memorable characters that join the main character. My favorite is, of course, HK-47, everyone's favorite outspokenly homocidal assassin droid. He's just so funny, since he always so enthusiastic about what he does, and gives the occassional snarky comment. He's just so full of personality, and his voice actor did a great job playing him. My second favorite would have to be Canderous. He's badass and his war stories are always fun to listen to.
The music was also terrific and sounds like it could have come straight out of the movies.
For the first game, I went with female Revan and went the Dark Side path. Pretty fun, especially since HK tends to fanboy over you if you go back to being evil. Next time I play, I'm going to do the Light Side path. In the second game, I did Light Side female Exile, so I'll probably do Dark Side in that game when I pick it up again.
I think I like the first one better, if only because it felt more complete than the second one. The second one had a few plot elements that they left hanging due to time being cut short while the game was being developed, like the subplot about the HK-50s.
Overall, these are great games, and they do have that Star Wars feel to them. I'd reccommend them for Star Wars fans, or even just fans of sci-fi in general.
