So yeah, just finished my latest game exploit, Fallout 3. It was a fun and very memorable ride.

No shortage of things to do, that's for sure. The Wasteland is so vast and there's just so much to see and do.

I also loved the voice work, especially from Liam Neeson and Malcolm McDowell. I also liked the inclusion of Paul Eiding, as he's one of my favorite voice actors. I'll always remember him as Perceptor from Transformers.

The companions were cool. I only got three of them though, Dogmeat, Charon, and Fawkes. I think Charon was my favorite, followed closely by Fawkes.

Also no shortage of nightmare fuel. Feral ghouls, Pleasantville if it took place in hell, Lovecraftian buildings, Stepford if it were run by the family from Texas Chainsaw Massacre...

The ending was kind of a tear jerker for me. Now, if you think I'm going to go on a triade about how I hated it and started banging my head on the wall about it, I'm gonna say right now that I didn't think it was that bad. It made no sense since I had Fawkes with me, sure, but there is the fact that I pretty much went out saving the entire Wasteland and gave the big middle finger to the Enclave. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that even though I didn't know the exact nature of the ending, I did know ahead of time that it was a But Thou Must ending.

So, all in all, this was a very fun game and I enjoyed it a lot. Now I just have to decide what to play next. Might go back to Ocarina of Time or Wind Waker.
